Gourmet, Giftable, and Great! We take great pride in the care and attention we dedicate to our products. Our peanuts come from a special variety known as Virginia peanuts, primarily grown in North Carolina and Virginia. These peanuts offer a far superior flavor compared to the other types, such as Spanish and Georgia Runners. They are the largest of all peanuts and have a distinctive crunch. Additionally, our peanuts are cultivated right here in Eastern North Carolina.
There are four varieties of Peanuts: Runner, Valencia, Spanish, and Virginia. The Peanut is also known as the groundnut, goober, pindar, or monkey nut. George Washington Carver, often called the “Grandfather of Peanuts,” discovered numerous uses for peanuts and introduced innovative farming techniques. Two US presidents were peanut farmers (Thomas Jefferson and Jimmy Carter). The phrase “peanut gallery” comes from the 1800’s when people sitting in the upper levels of stage productions would throw peanuts at performers if they didn’t like what they were seeing! National Peanut Day is celebrated on September 13th!

Peanuts can help you feel fuller for longer, which can aid in maintaining or losing weight.Peanuts are rich in protein, fat, and fiber. While they contain a significant amount of fat, most of these are "good fats." These unsaturated fats can actually help lower cholesterol levels.
